The Prime Cuts: Winners of Ai Iron Chef Battle of the Blades!!

Student Chefs from the Ft. Lauderdale Art Institute competed in a 5 course meal, where they were the winners of the "Iron Chef Battle of the Glades". The students had 90 minutes to prepare a 5 course menu using the secret ingredient "melon".
Our students competed against 3 other culinary teams and WON! Their outstanding culinary creations were:
- Chilled Watermelon Soup with Mint
- Balsamic (watermelon reduction) Salad with Smoked Watermelon & Pickled Rind for garnish
- Crab Cakes with a Tomato-Melon Coulis appetizer
- Grilled Swordfish with Wild Blueberry-melon Lager Sauce
- Grilled Honeydew Melon, Zucchini Squash and Jasmine Rice
- Tomato-honeydew Melon Napoleon with a Tomato-Melon Jam for dessert
